Monalika Hair Shop

Monalika Hair Shop is located at Shop Number 5 in the Abhusan Complex. We are right at the Pallav Cross Road in Naranpura, which is a spot most locals know well. We sit right opposite the U S Pizza, so if you’re looking for us, that’s the easiest way to find the place. The shop is a small, functional space where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s not decorated with anything special, just the usual chairs and the big mirrors that let us see what’s happening out on the street. I like to watch the traffic go by at the crossroad when there’s a break between customers. It’s a good spot for people-watching. We get a lot of folks who are just out doing their shopping or grabbing a bite to eat. Our setup is simple because that’s all we really need to do our work properly. I make sure to sharpen the tools every few days and keep the floor swept. There’s no big team here, just a few of us who know the job and get on with it. We don't talk much about "styling" or "trends"; we just listen to what the person wants and do our best to match that. The building is a bit older, and you can tell by the way the door creaks, but it’s a solid place to work. We’ve been here long enough that the shop feels like a second home to us.
