Mohan Hair Dressers

Mohan Hair Dressers is on the ground floor of Vaibhav Flats. We are right at the St. Xaviers College Corner in Navrangpura, which is a very well-known spot. Rajhans Society is just across the way. Because we are so close to the college, we get a lot of students coming in, alongside the older residents of the flats. The shop is on the ground level, so it’s easy for anyone to just walk in from the street. It’s a decent-sized space, though we have filled it up with chairs and cabinets over the years. We’ve got some old pictures on the walls and the mirrors are quite large. It feels like a very traditional place. We don't use any of those loud music systems, just the regular noise of the street outside and the occasional chat between customers. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, but we keep it clean. Working in Navrangpura means there’s never a dull moment; there’s always something going on at the corner. We start early and stay open until the street goes quiet at night. It’s been a steady business for us. We just focus on doing a decent job with the scissors and making sure the razors are sharp. Nothing more to it than that, really. It’s just what we do every day to make a living and keep our regular customers happy with their look.
