Mika Engineers

Our office is in room 1014 of Arunachal Bhawan, which is at 19 Barakhamba Road. It’s a tall building in a very busy part of the city. Mika Engineers is basically a bunch of desks, computers, and a lot of technical manuals. Being on Barakhamba Road means there’s always something happening outside. It’s a bit of a trek to get up to the 10th floor if the lift is acting up. We do engineering work, mostly focused on designs and technical details. It’s quiet in the office compared to the street below. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of people. We’re a smaller team. We spend most of our time staring at screens or arguing over a specific measurement. It’s not flashy work. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby. Just a door with our name on it. Sometimes the office gets a bit messy with all the blueprints and coffee mugs. We’ve been in Arunachal Bhawan for a while now. We know the security guards and the other people on our floor. It’s a professional environment but we keep it casual among ourselves. We don't use big words to sound important. We just try to get the engineering right so things don't break. It’s a long day sometimes, especially when deadlines are close, but that’s just the nature of the job.
