Maruti Hair Art

Our shop is Shop No-5 on the ground floor of Sagar Tower. We are on Premchandnagar Road in the Satellite area. If you see Mansi Tower, we are just across the road from there. Maruti Hair Art has been in this building for several years now. Satellite is a busy part of Ahmedabad, so there’s always something happening outside our door. The shop isn't very big, but we’ve tucked in everything we need. We have two main chairs and a small sink for washing hair. The lighting is a bit yellow, but it’s bright enough. I usually have a cricket match on the small radio if there’s a game playing. My regular customers know where the water bottle is kept if they get thirsty. We don’t do appointments; people just show up and wait their turn. Sometimes the wait is long, sometimes you can get right in. I use a lot of talcum powder and the smell of it kind of sticks to everything in here. The cupboards are full of different combs and clippers that I’ve bought over the years. I like to keep my tools sharp. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have a website or anything like that. People find us because they live nearby or they saw the sign while walking to the market. It’s just a place to get your hair sorted out without any fuss or high prices.
