Manhar Hair Dressers

Manhar Hair Dressers is located at Shop No 4 in Mahadev Plot No 1, right on the Wadaj Vegetable Market Road. We have been here for a good number of years now, watching the street change as more stalls and people move into the Wadaj area. Most people find us easily because we are right opposite Angel English School. It’s a simple shop, nothing too flashy or modern like the big chains you see in malls. We have our old chairs that have seen thousands of haircuts over time. Every morning, the first thing to do is open the shutters and sweep out the dust from the street. The vegetable market nearby makes the mornings very loud and busy, which we kind of like. There is always someone walking by or shouting about the price of vegetables. Inside, it is just us, the sound of scissors, and maybe a small radio playing in the corner. We don’t have fancy coffee or a big waiting lounge. Usually, there are a couple of plastic stools if you have to wait your turn. The mirrors are old but clean, and we keep our combs in jars with that blue liquid. People from the neighborhood come here because they know where we are and they don’t need an appointment. It’s just a place to get your hair trimmed or a shave before you go about your day. We like the routine of it all, and it keeps us busy.
