We’ve been at Shop No. 9 in Jalaram Society for quite a while now. It’s right near the Virat Nagar Brts Bus Stop, so the noise from the buses is just part of our day. Mostly we deal with engineering jobs that come through the door. It gets dusty being so close to N.H. No. 8, but that’s Bapunagar for you. We just focus on getting the work done. Sometimes it’s busy, sometimes it’s slow. We have a few machines in the back that we use every day. It’s not a fancy place. Just a regular workshop where we handle metal and parts. People usually find us because they live nearby or they're passing through on the highway. We keep our tools organized as much as possible, though things tend to get messy when we're in the middle of a big job. If you walk past the bus stop, you’ll probably see us working. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. It’s just us and the machines. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break. That’s how it goes here. We try to be fair with people and just do what is asked. The shop is small but it fits everything we need. We've seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years, but we’re still here at the same spot doing the same things. It’s a lot of manual work but it keeps us going every day.
