You can find us at Shop No. 5 in Patel Estate, right across from the Marga Kendra. Being near the Baliyadev Temple on Vejalpur Road means there is always something happening outside, especially on festival days. Our shop in Makarba is where we store all our packing gear, like the heavy-duty boxes and rolls of plastic. It’s a bit of a dusty environment with all the cardboard and the trucks coming in and out of the estate. Most of our work happens at other people’s houses where we spend the day wrapping furniture and carrying boxes down stairs. It’s heavy work and can be quite tiring, especially in the heat. We usually have a few guys on a team, and we’ve all got used to the lifting and the long hours on the road. Back at the shop, we try to keep things in order, but there’s always a pile of blankets or some tape dispensers lying around. We don’t have a fancy waiting area or anything like that. Usually, if someone wants to talk to us, we just stand near the truck or sit on one of the crates. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know the local roads pretty well. It’s just honest, hard work that keeps us busy from morning until evening.
