Light Of Asia Hair Art

The shop is called Light Of Asia Hair Art and we are located near Raipur Chakala. If you know where the Chakleshwar Temple is, you can find us easily because we are right near there. This part of Ahmedabad has a lot of history and the streets are always full of people moving around. It is an old building and the shop is not very large, but it has everything we need to work. I usually open up in the morning when the temple bells are ringing. We have a few old wooden chairs and some mirrors that have been here for a long time. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast on Saturdays, so I am always sweeping. People from the neighborhood come in for a quick haircut or a shave. We don't have any of those fancy modern machines, just regular scissors and combs. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep working. It gets quite loud outside with all the rickshaws and motorbikes passing by the Raipur Chakla area. I have lived around here my whole life, so I know most of the faces that walk through the door. It is just a normal hair shop where people can sit and chat for a while. We don't try to be something we are not. It’s just a place to get your hair cut and get back to your day.
