Lalji Mehrotra Lions School

We are situated behind the Karnavati Lions Eye Hospital, just off the Sardar Patel Ring Road in Ognaj. Because we are a bit away from the main road, it is actually quite peaceful here most of the time. You don’t get as much of the city noise as you would closer to the center. The school is spread out over a decent amount of land, and we have several buildings that house our classrooms and offices. In the morning, the sun comes up over the fields nearby, and it is a nice way to start the workday. We spend a lot of time maintaining the grounds because there is so much open space. The staff is a mix of people who have been here forever and some newer faces, but we all just get along like a regular team. We don't have a lot of polished brochures or a big mission statement on the wall. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the students are safe. The building has some character to it, with wide corridors and rooms that stay relatively cool even in the afternoon. Sometimes the SP Ring Road gets loud with the big trucks, but mostly we just hear the birds and the kids during their lunch break. It is an honest, hardworking atmosphere. We don't try to be anything we aren't; we are just a local school doing our part in Ognaj. Every day is a bit different, but the goal is always just to keep things running.
