Sonal Timber Mart

Sonal Timber Mart is located at plot 34 in Krishna Nagar. We are right opposite Shayona City on the RC Technical Road in the Ghatlodia area. If you walk onto the lot, the first thing you will notice is the smell of fresh cut wood and the piles of logs stacked up. We deal with timber all day long, so there is usually a layer of sawdust on everything, including our clothes. It is a very physical job, moving pieces around and showing different types of wood to whoever stops by. The RC Technical Road stays pretty busy with commuters, so we have to be careful when the trucks are backing in to unload. Our office is just a small shack on the edge of the plot where we keep the ledger and the phone. It is mostly an outdoor operation, so we are at the mercy of the weather. When it rains, we have to scramble to cover the more sensitive stock. We have been in Ghatlodia for quite a while and have seen the neighborhood grow around us. We do not have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just know our wood and we talk to our customers plainly. It is hard work, but there is something satisfying about seeing the raw timber come in and go out to be made into something useful. We spend a lot of time sorting through planks.
