Touchwood Furniture

We are located at D-602 Aastha Square in Chandkheda. It is right near the BRTS Corridor. You can hear the buses going by every few minutes. The shop is usually full of wood dust. We have saws and hammers lying around everywhere. Making furniture is a slow process if you want it to last. We don't use those cheap materials that break after a month. We stick to real wood. My shirt is usually covered in sawdust by ten in the morning. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of the pieces we are working on are wrapped in plastic or blankets to keep them clean. We talk to the neighbors a lot while we work. The tea guy knows exactly when we need a break. It’s a bit cramped in here because we have so many planks leaning against the walls. We have to move three things just to get to the drill. It’s a bit of a puzzle every day. Chandkheda has grown a lot, and we see new buildings going up all the time. We just stay here and keep making our chairs and tables. We don't have a big team, just a couple of guys who know how to handle a plane and a chisel. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Most of our tools are old but they still work better than the new ones.
