Ective Engineers

You can find us at Plot No. 507 on Road No. 13 in the GIDC. It is a straightforward engineering shop. We don’t go in for anything flashy. Most of the time, the floor is covered in metal shavings and the smell of cutting oil. We spend our days at the lathes or the milling machines. It is noisy work, and we usually have to shout to be heard over the sound of the equipment. We have been on Road 13 for a long time. The neighbors are mostly other small workshops, so we all know each other. Sometimes we borrow tools or help each other out with a heavy lift. We don't have a proper website or any of that stuff. If someone wants something made, they usually just drop by with a sketch on a piece of paper. We look at it, figure out if we can do it, and give them a price. It is how we have always done things. The office is just a small room at the front with a filing cabinet that sticks when you try to open it. We don’t mind much. As long as the machines are running and the work is coming in, we are happy. We keep the doors open to let some air in, though it doesn't help much when it gets really hot in May. It is just a group of us working hard to finish the jobs on the list.
