We are located in Vidya Bhavan on Vihrat Street. It’s in the Maninagar area of Ahmedabad. A good landmark is the Anupam Cinema, we are very close to that. If you walk down Vihrat Street, you’ll see our sign. The building itself has been around for a while. I remember when the cinema used to be even more crowded than it is now. My shop is a straightforward place. I have the mirrors lined up on one wall and the chairs on the other. I put some pictures on the wall a few years ago, mostly just different hair styles for people to look at. The floor is that old-fashioned stone that stays cool even in the summer. I like being in Maninagar because everything is close by. I usually get my tea from the stall around the corner twice a day. The regulars come in and we talk about the cricket scores or the local news. I don't use any high-tech gadgets, just my hands and the tools I’ve used for a decade. It’s not a place where you’ll find fancy coffee or magazines, but you’ll get a decent haircut. I keep the door open most of the time to let the breeze in, though it brings in the dust too. I just sweep it out every hour. It’s just me doing my thing in this little corner of the city. I've never felt the need to change how I do things much.
