Karishma Beauty Parlour

If you are around Mithakhali in Ahmedabad, you might have passed by Karishma Beauty Parlour. We are located in the 380009 zip code area, which is a fairly busy part of town. The parlor itself is a modest space where we spend most of our day. It is not one of those big, bright places you see in the malls. It is more of a local spot where women from the surrounding buildings come when they have a bit of free time. The walls have been the same color for a bit, and we have our tools laid out ready to go. Mithakhali always has a lot of traffic, especially during the office hours, so there is a constant hum of engines outside our door. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting, but we manage. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know the regulars by name. It’s a practical place for practical people. We usually close up when the sun goes down and the street lights come on. There is something nice about being a small part of this neighborhood. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a beauty parlor where we do our jobs and go home at the end of the day. It’s been here for years and we hope to keep it that way for many more.
