Kanaga Lakshmi Exports

If you look for us at Tirupati Complex, we are in Office No. 104. This part of Kalupur, especially around Chokha Bazzar, is always a bit chaotic with people moving around and carts blocking the way. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step. Kanaga Lakshmi Exports has been operating out of this small room for some time now. We spend a lot of our hours looking at shipping schedules and making sure the export documents are sorted out. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so the fan is always running in the corner. Sometimes the noise from the bazzar outside is so loud we have to shout over the phone to be heard. We handle a lot of different requests and try to keep everyone happy, even when things get backed up at the docks. It isn't a glamorous job, mostly just emails and phone calls and checking boxes. My brother helps out with the ledger when it gets too busy for me. We don't have any big signs or posters on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a map of the trade routes we use. It’s a tight space with lots of files stacked up on the floor because the shelves are full. We stay late most nights just to finish the day's work. It’s just how it goes when you’re working in the heart of the market like this.
