Kalptaru Kirana Stores

Kalptaru Kirana Stores is right in the Suntrack Shopping Center, shop B 1. It’s on K K Nagar Road in Ghatlodia, just opposite the Bhagyoday Co-Operative Ltd building. This is a typical grocery store, so the shelves are always packed with everything from lentils and rice to soaps and biscuits. It can get a bit cramped inside when we get a big delivery and have sacks of grain sitting on the floor waiting to be moved. We’ve been here serving the Ghatlodia neighborhood for quite some time now. People come in with their handwritten lists, and we go around picking things out for them. The scale is always on the counter, and there’s usually a bit of flour dust around it. We don't have fancy barcodes or anything, just us writing things down and doing the math. It’s a busy life, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and realizes they forgot to buy milk or oil. We know most of the families around here, and we’ve seen their kids grow up. The shop smells like a mix of spices and washing powder. We don't have much space for people to hang around, but there’s always a bit of talk about the local news while we pack the bags. It’s just a regular store doing its part for the local street and making sure everyone gets their daily supplies without any big trouble.
