If you are looking for us, we are right behind Star Bazar in Satellite. It can be a bit tricky to find because we are tucked in E-1 of the Kadambari Apartment building, near the TV9 office. Jivraj Park is a busy neighborhood, so there is always some noise from the street outside. I grew up around bandhani work, watching the different patterns come to life. In this shop, we have stacks of fabric piled high in almost every corner. The dyes sometimes leave stains on the floor, but that is just how it goes with this kind of craft. I spend hours checking the knots and the colors on the cloth. It isn't a modern office or anything like that. It is a working space where we handle everything ourselves. My family has been doing this for a long time, and I just kept it going here in this apartment spot. Sometimes people get lost trying to find the entrance behind the big bazar, so I usually have to tell them to look for the TV9 building first. The light in the afternoon is good for seeing the fine details on the cloth. We do not have a lot of fancy furniture, just some wooden stools and a big table for folding. It is a simple life, really. I am here most days from ten until the sun goes down, just making sure the work is done right. It's a crowded little room.
