Jhankhna Beauty Parlour is over in the Paldi area of Ahmedabad. We are at number 1 in the Harshanti Society, which is near the Shantivan area. If you are trying to find the place, look for the Komal Anklave because we are very close to that. It’s a quiet society most of the time, which I like because it makes the parlor feel more private. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself in a neighborhood I knew well. The shop is part of the society building, so it has a very domestic feel. We do all the standard beauty things like facials, hair, and threading. Most of our clients are the ladies who live in the society or in the houses nearby. We know each other's kids and what's happening in everyone's lives. It’s more like a meeting spot where people happen to get their hair done. The curtains are a bit old, and the chairs have some wear on them, but it’s comfortable. Paldi is a settled part of town, so things don't change too fast around here. I usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background. It’s not a corporate place with uniforms and protocols. It’s just a local business where we try to do a good job so people keep coming back.
