Jhakhiya Farmers Producer Companylimited

Our group, Jhakhiya Farmers Producer Companylimited, is rooted right in the village of Jhakhiya. We operate out of Jarmundi, which is a quiet place most of the time. You can find us near the post office in Dhamnilata. We work closely with Krishnachand Masat, who helps keep things organized for all the farmers involved. This whole thing started because we wanted a better way for local folks to manage their crops and get them to market without so much trouble. It’s not a fancy operation by any means. We spend most of our time in the fields or sitting around a small table discussing prices and seeds. The roads out here in Jarmundi can be a bit rough after a heavy rain, which makes transporting goods a real headache sometimes. We aren't looking for awards or big headlines. We just want to make sure the farmers in Jhakhiya get a fair shake. There’s a lot of manual labor involved and plenty of sweat, but that's how it is when you’re working with the land. We’ve had some tough years with the weather, but we stick together. It’s a real community effort. Everyone knows everyone else around here, so you can't really hide if you make a mistake. We just try to do right by each other and keep the village moving forward. It’s simple, slow work most days, but it matters to us and our families. It is just about getting through the season together.
