Jay Jalaram Engineering Works

Jay Jalaram Engineering Works is located right opposite Sayan Society on the Main Road. Being in the Olpad taluka means we see a lot of the local folks coming through. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but it stays busy. You can usually hear the sound of welding or grinding before you even walk through the door. It’s a bit messy with scraps and tools lying around, but we know where everything is. The traffic on the Main Road can be a bit much during the morning hours, especially with people heading to work. We spend most of our time dealing with whatever repairs or engineering jobs come our way. Sometimes it is a quick fix and other times it takes all day. It gets pretty dusty with all the vehicles passing by Sayan Society, and the grease on our hands never really seems to come off completely. We’ve got a small fan that tries its best in the heat, though it mostly just moves the warm air around. People stop by to chat or ask for help with some piece of equipment that broke down. It’s just how things go in Olpad. We have been in this spot for a bit now and the neighbors are all familiar faces. It is just a regular place where we do our work and head home when the sun goes down.
