Jay Brahmani Engineering Work is located at Plot 68 in the Karnavati Estate. We are right behind the Royal Hotel, which is a good landmark for people trying to find us near the Odhav Circle. Being on the S.P. Ring Road means there’s constant noise from the heavy trucks passing by. Our workshop isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a big project going on. We do a lot of fabrication and general engineering stuff. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the afternoon. We try to sweep up, but it’s a never-ending battle. The light in the shop isn't the best, so we use some heavy-duty lamps when we’re doing precise work. It’s just a few of us here. We’ve known each other a long time. The Odhav area is full of shops like ours, so we often see our neighbors at the tea shop. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people usually just hear about us through word of mouth or see the sign when they’re driving past. It’s a practical way to run a business. We stay until the job is done, even if it means staying late on a Saturday. It’s hard on the hands and the back, but it’s steady work that keeps us going year after year.
