Janki The Unisex Salon And Tattoos

We are tucked away in the Ambawadi area, specifically in Madhav Apartment on IIM Road. The shop is G-4 on the upper level, so you have to walk up a few steps to get to us. We are right near Panjrapole, which is a big landmark around here. If you look across the street, you’ll see Shivalik Plaza, so that’s how most people find our entrance. We do both hair and tattoos here, which makes for an interesting mix of people walking through the door. One minute we are cutting hair for someone going to an interview, and the next we are helping someone pick out a tattoo design. The shop isn't very large, so things can get a bit crowded when we have a few people waiting. We have a couple of chairs for the hair side and a separate spot for the tattoo work. It is a bit of an old-school vibe in here. We don't have any polished corporate stuff, just our tools and some posters on the walls. Being on IIM Road means we get a lot of students and young people, but we also have older folks from the apartment buildings nearby. It is a noisy street with all the rickshaws and cars going towards the junction, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on getting the work done right. It is a small, local business and we like it that way. We just keep the needles clean and the scissors sharp.
