J J Hair & Care is located in Kapadia Mension, right in the Sabarmati area. We are directly opposite the Ramji Temple, which is a very easy landmark for anyone trying to find us. Ahmedabad is a big city but this little corner feels like home to us. The shop isn't very large, but it is enough for what we need to get the job done. We have the basic chairs and the equipment we've been using for years. Every morning, we unlock the door and get things ready for the day ahead. It starts with a bit of cleaning and making sure every comb and pair of scissors is in its place. We get all sorts of people walking in. Some are headed to the temple and just want to look decent, while others live right here in Sabarmati and come to us because we are close. We talk about the weather, which is usually hot, or whatever else is happening in the news. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan for the shop. We just rely on people knowing we are here in the mansion. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but you get used to that after a while. It is a steady way to make a living, and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces of our neighbors. It is just a plain, honest hair shop where you get your hair done without any fuss or trouble.
