Inspiron Engg. Pvt. Ltd. has its office at 407, Ajitnath Apartment, tucked behind the Sudama Resort in the Ellis Bridge area of Ahmedabad. It’s an older building, but it has a lot of character. We’ve been in this spot for a good number of years now. The elevator is a bit slow, so we often just take the stairs to the fourth floor. Inside, it’s a typical engineering workspace. There are heaps of papers, old technical manuals, and a few computers that have seen better days. We don’t really care for the polished look that modern firms go for. We’re more interested in the actual engineering work. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need many meetings to know what needs to be done. Ahmedabad is a great place to be if you’re into manufacturing and engineering. We are right in the heart of it. Lunchtime usually involves sharing whatever everyone has brought from home. It's a relaxed atmosphere, though we do get serious when there’s a deadline approaching. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall; we just have a list of things to finish by Friday. It’s a practical way to run a business. We stay here because the location is good and we know the rhythms of the city. It’s just where we do our thing, day in and day out, and we wouldn't want it any other way.
