Being part of In Isro As A Project Engineer Contract Bases means I spend a lot of my time around Sector-1 in K. K. Nagar. The office is at M. I. G-31, right in the heart of Ghatlodia in Ahmedabad. If you have ever been to this part of Gujarat, you know how bright the sun gets. These MIG flats have been around for quite a while, and they have that typical Ahmedabad look. My daily routine involves navigating through the traffic of K. K. Nagar which can get pretty messy during peak hours. Working on a contract basis means there is always something to keep me busy. I usually carry my lunch in a steel box and eat it at my desk. The building is a bit older, so the walls have that lived-in feel. I’ve gotten to know the security guard and the guy who delivers the water cans. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have fancy lounge areas or anything like that. It is just about getting the engineering work done correctly. Sometimes I walk down to the local market in Ghatlodia if I need to clear my head. The evening breeze is the best part of the day when the heat finally starts to drop a bit. It is a solid, honest place to work, and being in a residential sector makes it feel less like a cold corporate office and more like a part of the neighborhood. The stairs are a bit steep but it's fine.
