Hair Tong

Our shop, Hair Tong, is located in the Manek Chowk area, which is part of the old city of Ahmedabad. We are near Sadmata Ni Pole and directly opposite the Kabir Temple on Sankdi Shery. This part of town is very traditional and the streets are quite narrow. It is a very lively place to be. We have been here for a long time, and the shop is a real part of the local neighborhood. It is not a modern or corporate kind of place. It is just a small room with a couple of chairs and mirrors. We handle hair for the people who live in the poles nearby. You can always hear the bells from the temple and the sound of people walking through the narrow lanes. We don't do any advertising or use any fancy words. Our business comes from the people who live right here. It is a very simple and direct way of working. We open up in the morning, talk to the neighbors, and do our work. The atmosphere is very local and informal. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the street, but that is just how Manek Chowk is. We are happy to be in such a historic part of the city. We don't need any big mission statements. We just focus on the people who come in and the hair we are cutting. It is a real place for real people.
