You can find us at Shop No 1 in the Ilaj Complex. We are right in the Khokhara Mehmadabad part of Ahmedabad. It is a good spot because we are right opposite Kalyan Girl High School. During the day you can hear the school bells and the sound of students out in the yard. It makes the area feel very lively. Since we are a family salon we see all sorts of people coming through the door. Dads bring their sons and mothers come in with their daughters. The shop is on the ground floor so it is easy to just step inside from the street. We keep the air conditioning running when it gets too hot outside in the afternoon. There are always some magazines lying around on the table for people to look at while they wait. The Ilaj Complex has a few other shops too so there is always people moving around the building. We spend most of the day standing on our feet and working with the scissors or the combs. It is a simple setup with good lighting. We have been here for a bit and the locals know us by now. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with hair on the floor but we try to keep it tidy between customers. It is just a regular daily routine for us in Khokhara and we don't change much. We like the morning tea from the stall nearby and just getting on with our work.
