Govind Exports

You can find us right opposite the Vejalpur bus stop in Ahmedabad. It’s a pretty busy spot with buses rattling by all day long, so it’s never really quiet here. Govind Exports has been based in this building for years. We handle shipping and moving goods, mostly focusing on things going out. The office isn't much to look at. We have piles of papers on the desks and boxes of samples tucked into the corners. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. Ahmedabad is a big, fast city, but we just focus on our own tasks in our little corner of Vejalpur. People sometimes miss our entrance, so I just tell them to look for the bus stand across the way. We use a couple of old computers and spend a lot of time on our mobile phones talking to drivers and warehouse guys. We don't have a big team or any fancy titles. It’s just us doing the work day in and day out. When it gets really hot in the afternoon, we usually send someone out to get cold drinks. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We’re just local people making sure things get exported correctly. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the paperwork is right. We just do our bit and go home at the end of the day.
