Krishna Garments

Our place is up on the third floor of Plot No. 301. If you know the area near the old Madhuram Cinema in Gheekanta, you know it’s always crowded and full of energy. We are right near the Kamavati Garment Mall, so there is always a lot of movement around us. Krishna Garments has been operating out of this Ahmedabad spot for a good bit of time. The stairs can be a bit of a climb, especially when we are moving heavy stock around, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend most of our time dealing with the fabrics and the machines. It gets quite loud during the peak hours, but that’s just the nature of the garment business in this part of town. We see a lot of familiar faces coming through the doors every day. The view from the third floor isn't much, just the busy streets of Gheekanta, but it’s home to us. We don't have a big corporate setup. It's just a bunch of us working through the piles of clothes and making sure things are packed right. Sometimes the electricity flickers, or the traffic outside makes it hard to hear ourselves think, but we just keep at it. People know us as the guys near the old cinema. We stay busy with the local market demands. It's a practical life here. We open up early and usually stay until the last bundle is moved out.
