If you are looking for us, we are in the Vikram Chambers building on Ashram Road. Our office is T-18. It’s a pretty standard building in a very busy part of the city. Traffic on Ashram Road is almost always a nightmare, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of horns all day. We deal with bearings here at Galaxy Bearings Ltd. We have all kinds of them, from the tiny ones for small motors to the big heavy ones for industrial equipment. It’s a lot of shelf space taken up by boxes. This isn’t a place where people come to browse or shop around. Usually, someone calls us up because a machine broke down and they need a specific part number right away. We spend a lot of time looking through old catalogs or checking the stock in the back room. It’s a bit dusty and the lighting isn’t the best, but it works for what we do. We are a small group of people who have been working with these parts for years. We don’t have a corporate mission statement on the wall. We just try to find the right bearing for the person who needs it so they can get back to their work. Sometimes we have tea together and talk about the news or the weather. It’s just a regular office. We’ve been here a long time and the building has aged with us. It’s just a practical way to earn a living.
