Rajesh Malleables Limited

Down here at 4, Phase - I in the Vatva G.I.D.C. area, things are always moving and shaking. Rajesh Malleables Limited is one of those places where you can't really escape the black soot. We work with iron, mostly making sure the casting process goes okay so the finished pieces don't crack once they cool down. It’s a lot of waiting for things to heat up and then more waiting for them to cool down. The industrial estate is crowded, and trucks are always blocking the narrow roads, making it a bit of a headache to get materials in and out. Inside the shed, it’s mostly just the sound of the blowers and the occasional loud clang of metal hitting metal. We aren't big on paperwork or fancy meetings in glass rooms. Usually, we just stand around the floor and discuss what needs to be poured next while we wipe the sweat off our faces. There’s a certain rhythm to the work that you only get after being here for a few years. Some days the humidity makes the sand molds tricky to work with, and we have to scrap the whole thing and start over. It’s frustrating, but that is part of the daily grind. We don’t pretend to be anything other than a working foundry. The office is small and filled with old ledgers and a few dusty samples of what we’ve made over the decades. We just keep the furnaces going and try to make sure every batch is handled the way it’s supposed to be before the day ends.
