Fine Hair Art

We've been here at Fine Hair Art for a good while now, right near Amber Cinema on Bhidbhanjan Road. It's a busy part of Bapu Nagar, especially with the temple just down the street. The shop isn't huge, but we have enough chairs and mirrors to keep things moving. Most mornings start with just sweeping up the floor and getting the towels ready. It gets quite loud outside with the traffic, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of scissors and the radio playing some old songs. People around here know where we are because of the landmark, so we see a lot of the same faces every week. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy lights or a big waiting lounge, just some plastic chairs for when it gets crowded on Sundays. Sometimes the tea stall guy brings over a few cups while we work. The mirrors have a few scratches from over the years, but they do the job just fine. We try to keep the place tidy, though hair gets everywhere no matter how much you sweep. It’s just how it is in a barber shop. Most of the guys who come in just want a quick trim or a shave before they head off to work. We’ve seen kids grow up and start bringing their own kids here. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road work nearby, but we keep the fans going and the doors open.
