Ekta Hair Saloon

Ekta Hair Saloon is right near Delhi Darvada. If you see the petrol pump across the road, then you have found us. It's a very old part of Ahmedabad and it gets very crowded with traffic and people going to the markets. We have been cutting hair here for a long time now. The shop is small and we mostly do men’s haircuts and shaves. It’s a basic setup with a few mirrors and some combs. We don’t have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that keep the air moving. It gets hot in the summer but we are used to it. Most of our customers are people who work in the nearby shops or live in the old city houses. We know most of them by name. It’s a simple business. We open early in the morning and stay open until the sun goes down. Sometimes we stay later if someone needs a shave for a wedding or a festival. The area 380004 is always noisy but inside the shop, it’s just the sound of scissors. We don't try to be anything special, just a place to get your hair fixed up. It’s been in the family for a bit and we just keep doing what we know. If you’re passing the petrol pump, just look for our sign. We are usually here six days a week, sometimes seven if the work is there.
