Design Engineer

Down here in Vatva at Makhdum Nagar, we have our small setup at D/79. It is right in the Saiyed Wadi area, which stays busy most of the day. Design Engineer is basically what we do, though the name is pretty simple. We spend most of our time looking at plans and trying to figure out how things should be built or put together. The office is not anything fancy, just a room with some sturdy tables and computers that get the job done. Sometimes the heat in Ahmedabad gets a bit much, especially in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going full speed. We are not the type to wear suits or talk in big corporate words. Usually, we are in shirts and sandals, just focusing on the drawings in front of us. If you come by, you might find us arguing over a measurement or just sitting quietly while a file loads. The neighborhood is a mix of houses and small shops, so there is always some noise from the street coming through the window. It feels like home to us. We have been at this address for a long time. It is a bit of a maze to find if you are not from around here, but once you know the way past Saiyed Wadi, it is easy. We just keep our heads down and keep working through the stack of designs we have for the week. It's a living, and we enjoy the process.
