Delux Hair Salon

Our shop is right across from the Shree Kastbhanjan Hanuman Temple on India Colony Road. It’s a busy spot in India Colony and there is always something happening outside. We’ve been here in this part of Ahmedabad for quite some time now. Usually, we open up in the morning and stay until the evening. The fans hum all day and we keep the mirrors clean enough so you can see what’s going on. We aren't trying to be like those big fancy salons in the malls. It’s just a few chairs and the basic tools we need. People from around the temple or those living in Deepak Bhawana Colony stop by when they need a trim. Sometimes they are in a hurry and other times they just want to sit and rest for a bit while they wait. We know most of the people by name since they’ve been coming here for years. It gets pretty loud with the traffic outside but you get used to it after a while. We just do the regular haircuts and shaves that people ask for. There is no big secret to it, just showing up every day and doing the work. If the chairs are full, folks just wait on the bench outside. It’s a simple life and we are happy to be part of the community here. The shop stays open late enough so people can get home from work first.
