Delhi Public School

Bopal has changed a lot over the years, becoming so crowded and busy, but we are still tucked away here in Ahmedabad at Delhi Public School. If you’ve ever tried to drive through this part of town in the morning, you know how the traffic can get. We spend a lot of time just coordinating the buses and making sure everyone gets inside safely. The school is a big place, and it takes a lot of people to keep it from getting messy. We have a whole crew that handles the grounds and the buildings. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. I work in the office mostly, dealing with parents who drop by with questions about fees or dates. We don't use a lot of big words or try to impress anyone. It’s just a school. The hallways are loud during the breaks, and then they get really quiet when the classes start. That is the rhythm of our day. We have some trees in the courtyard that provide a bit of shade, which is nice when the Ahmedabad heat really kicks in. We keep the registers updated and the chalkboards clean. It is mostly just routine work, day in and day out. We have been here for a while, and we just keep doing what we’ve always done. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we just take it one hour at a time.
