Chandni Herbal Beauty Parlour

You can find us at number 4 in Agrasen Tower, which is right in the Shahibaug area. We are directly across from Civil Gate No 2. It’s a very busy gate, so there is always a lot of movement outside with ambulances and people going to the hospital. Inside Chandni Herbal Beauty Parlour, it’s much more relaxed. I keep the curtains drawn a bit to block out the harsh afternoon sun. The room smells like sandalwood and dried herbs most of the time because that’s what we use for most of our work. I have a few shelves filled with jars that I’ve collected over the years. It’s not a fancy spa, just a room where women can come to get their eyebrows done or a hair wash. I do most of the work myself, but my sister helps out when she can. We’ve been here in Shahibaug for a long time. The floor is a bit worn down near the main chair from years of me walking around it. Sometimes the tap in the back room leaks a little, but we keep a bucket under it. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. When the phone rings, I just answer it if my hands are free. It’s a practical place for neighborhood women who don’t want to spend a fortune but want to look nice for a family function or just for themselves.
