Our workshop is over at Plot No. 2 in Phase-II of the GIDC in Vatva. It’s a big industrial estate, so there is always a lot of activity nearby. Brother Pharmamach (India) Pvt. Ltd. is where we put together machinery for the pharmaceutical industry. It’s a very specific kind of work that requires a lot of patience. The workshop floor is usually covered in stainless steel parts and various tools. It’s not a medical lab, despite the name, but we do try to keep things reasonably clean. We have a small team of guys who are good at fitting things together. We don't have a big HR department or a floor of executives. We just have a few offices in the front and the big open area in the back. The weather in Vatva can get really hot, so we drink a lot of water and keep the big shutters open for a breeze. Most of us have been here for years, and we know each other's families. It’s a friendly place, but we take the work seriously. We don’t do big presentations or have fancy websites with lots of buzzwords. We just build the machines and test them until they work right. If someone comes by to visit, we usually just show them around the floor instead of sitting in a boardroom. It’s a practical way to run a business. We focus on the metal and the bolts and getting the job done.
