Broadway Hair Art

Broadway Hair Art is down on the ground floor of Meghdeep Shopping Centre, specifically in Shop No. 3. This part of Vastrapur is always moving, especially being right on Sandesh Press Road. We are across from Prakash High School, so we get a lot of noise from the bells and the kids when school lets out in the afternoon. The Bank of Maharashtra is also right across from us, which is a good landmark if you are looking for the building. The shop itself is pretty straightforward and simple. We have the usual hair stations and a bench for people waiting their turn. It’s not very big inside, but we make it work. The floor is usually covered in some amount of hair until we get a chance to sweep between customers. Being here in Ahmedabad 380015, we get a mix of office workers and families who live nearby. Sometimes the sink has a slow drain, but we manage to fix it ourselves. We just do the work as it comes in. No one here wears a uniform or anything like that; we just wear our regular clothes and get on with it. The air conditioner works most of the time, which is lucky because it gets hot on this side of the building. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same as it always was. Just a place to get a haircut.
