We are located in Block-C-102 of Keshav Priya Homes, which is right near the Om Shanti Residency in the Nicol area of Ahmedabad. It is a residential spot, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office building. Most of our work involves a lot of phone calls and sitting at the computer, trying to get things lined up for the international side of things. Ahmedabad gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we spend those afternoons inside with the fan going full blast, just working through the lists and documents. Being in Nicol means we are part of the local neighborhood noise—kids playing outside and people going about their grocery shopping. We aren't a huge corporation; we are just a small team trying to make a go of it from our little corner in Gujarat. Sometimes the courier guy struggles to find the block because the complex is a bit tucked away, but we usually just wave him down from the balcony. It’s a practical way to work without the high costs of a downtown office. We know the neighbors, and they know we are busy with our trade business. It’s a bit of a juggle sometimes, keeping the home vibe separate from the work stuff, but it works for us. We just keep moving forward one day at a time, handling the logistics and the paperwork.
