Our shop, Bramhani Hair And Beauty, is located at B-3 in the Shreeji Baba Complex. We are very close to the Vasna Bus Stand, so there are always people moving around outside. The Swaminarayan Mandir is also right there, which makes it a very nice spot to be in. We do hair cutting and some beauty work for the ladies in the area. It’s a small shop but we keep it tidy enough for everyone. Most days it’s just us working through the list of people who walk in. We don’t really do appointments much, you just show up and wait your turn. The bus drivers and commuters often stop by for a quick look or a trim. Vasna is a busy place and being near the station means we never really have a quiet moment. We’ve been here in Ahmedabad - 380007 for years. The chairs are old but sturdy and the scissors are always sharp. It’s not a luxury place, just a regular hair and beauty shop for regular people. We talk a lot with the customers about the local news and what’s happening at the temple. It feels like a small community even though the city is so big. We just do our work and go home at the end of the day. That’s how it’s always been for us at Bramhani. We just try to do right by the people who come in.
