Blossom Womens Hair & Skin Care

I’ve been running Blossom Womens Hair & Skin Care at Kalptaru Flat-2 for a few years now. It’s tucked away on Mirambika Road in Naranpura. Most people know the area because the Jain Upasray is right across from us. It’s a quiet enough street, though it picks up when people are going to prayers. I focus on hair and skin care for women. It’s mostly just neighbors coming in. The space isn’t very large, so it stays pretty cozy. I keep my bottles of lotions and hair soaps lined up on the shelf, though they sometimes get mixed up when we are busy. The floor is tile and it gets cold in the winter mornings, so I usually wear my warm slippers. I spend a lot of time talking to the ladies about their families while I work on their hair. Sometimes they want a facial or just a quick trim. It’s hard work on the feet, standing all day, but it’s what I know. The light coming through the front window is nice in the afternoon. I don’t use any fancy machines, just my hands and the tools I’ve used for years. Naranpura is a good place to be, feels like everyone knows everyone else. When I’m not busy, I sit by the door and watch the scooters go by. It’s just a regular business, trying to keep things tidy and making sure people leave feeling a bit better than when they walked in.
