Opening the shop early at Karan Complex is just part of the day. We get here before the sun gets too high because the Balol Nager Cross Road gets really busy later on. You can hear the traffic starting up near Somnath Circle while we’re just getting the chairs ready. It’s a simple spot here at Shop No F-13. Most people who come in live right around Ranip so we know a lot of them by name. We spend a lot of time just sweeping up and keeping the place tidy between jobs. Sometimes it gets a bit loud outside but that’s just how it is in Ahmedabad. We have a couple of chairs and some mirrors that have been here for a while now. When someone walks in, they usually just sit down and wait their turn while looking at their phone or talking to whoever else is there. It’s not a big fancy place but it works for us and the people who live nearby. On some days the fans are going full speed because the heat gets trapped in the complex. We usually take a break for tea in the afternoon when things slow down for a bit. It’s just a normal shop doing normal work every day. We don't really change much around here unless something breaks or needs fixing. It’s been this way for a long time at Bhavani Hair Art and we like the routine of it.
