Bhagwati Kirana Stores

Bhagwati Kirana Stores has been here on Kandoioll Road for a good while now. Our spot is at number 34 in Lakhand Bazar, right where things get busy in Ahmedabad. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just shelves full of the usual stuff people need for their kitchens and homes. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and sweeping the dust off the front step. The street outside stays noisy with rickshaws and people walking to work. We know most of the people who come in because they live right around here. Sometimes the stock gets a bit messy when a big delivery comes in and we have to pile bags of rice and dal wherever they fit. It's a small space, so things can get a bit cramped when three or four people are trying to get their groceries at the same time. We try to keep things moving though. There's always something to do, like checking the jars or writing down what we’re running low on. It’s mostly just us working here, making sure the shelves don't stay empty for long. People stop by for a quick chat or to grab one thing they forgot for dinner. That's how it goes every day from morning until we close up at night. We don't have a big sign or anything special, just the same storefront that’s been part of this bazar for years.
