Ashishek Hair Art is located in the Uttamnagar part of Maninagar. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite Sahajanand Appartment. Maninagar is a nice area with a lot of families, so we get all sorts of people coming in. We have been cutting hair here for a good while. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we keep it clean. We have the usual barber chairs and a big shelf for the combs and sprays. Most of the time, the radio is playing some songs in the background. It helps pass the time when it's quiet. We do haircuts for men and kids mostly. Some guys come in every two weeks for a shave because they don't like doing it at home. We talk about cricket or the local news while we work. The mirrors are clear and we try to keep the scissors sharp. Sometimes the kids cry when they see the clippers, so we have to be a bit slow with them. It’s a small shop and the space fills up quickly if a few people are waiting on the bench. We have lived around here for years, so we know the neighbors well. It’s a simple way to make a living. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer to walk in. Usually, by the time we close, we are pretty tired but it's okay.
