We are located at Shop 110 on the first floor of the Hash Complex. It is right on the road that goes from Nagri Hospital towards Law Garden in the Ellis Bridge area of Ahmedabad. Being beside Rastrabhasha Collage means we see a lot of students walking past every day. To find us, you just head up the stairs to the first floor. The shop isn't huge but it fits what we need for our daily work. We have the usual barber chairs and a few mirrors that have seen many years of use. It gets quite busy on this road, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading to the garden or coming from the hospital. We spend most of our mornings getting the tools ready and making sure there is enough clean water. It’s a local spot where people from the neighborhood come to sit down and get their hair sorted out. We don’t use any big fancy machines, just the regular stuff like scissors and combs. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast so someone is always sweeping with the old broom. It’s a simple life here. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first name. Sometimes we have a radio playing in the corner but usually, it’s just the sound of the traffic outside and the scissors clicking. It’s not a corporate place with uniforms or anything like that. Just us working in a corner of the city.
