As Engineer

Our place is at 618, Bakri Pole, which is right near the Swaminarayan Temple in Kalupur. Being in the old city area of Ahmedabad means the streets are narrow and always full of people and activity. You can hear the temple bells sometimes during the day. As Engineer is the name we use for the work we do here. It is a very traditional building, not like the new glass towers you see in the western part of the city. The space inside is a bit cramped because we have a lot of tools and old papers lying around, but we know where everything is. Navigation through Kalupur can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to it, but once you find Bakri Pole, we are right there. We mostly focus on practical engineering tasks. There is no air conditioning in every room, just some fans that hum all day long. We usually get our work done early before the heat of the afternoon sets in. The local shopkeepers nearby are all friendly and we often see them when we step out for a quick break. It is an old-fashioned way of working, I suppose. We don't use much fancy software or modern gadgets unless they are really necessary for the job. It is just a small local operation in a busy part of Ahmedabad where we keep things moving along.
