Anas Engineering

Our workshop, Anas Engineering, is situated on Plot No. 25 in the Al Habib Estate. We are pretty close to the Evergreen Hotel in Narol. If you’ve ever been to this estate, you know it’s a place where people are always making things. There is the sound of welding and grinding going on from morning until the sun goes down. We do various engineering jobs, mostly fixing parts or building small structures from steel. The floor is concrete and usually has some grease on it. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best shoes. We have a few lathes and some welding sets that have seen a lot of use. My cousin and I run the place most days. We don't have a secretary or a fancy office. If the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. Narol is a tough area for traffic, but it's good for business because everything you need is nearby. We take on the jobs that other people think are too small or too much of a headache. It’s hot work, especially in the middle of the day with the metal all around us. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the welds hold up. It’s practical work for people who need things fixed properly without any fuss or delay. It keeps us busy and pays the rent.
