Anand Niketan School

Anand Niketan School is located on Sindhu Bhavan Road in the Bodakdev area of Ahmedabad. This is a very busy part of the city, so there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside the school gates. The school has been here for quite some time, and the building is a large, solid structure that houses many classrooms. We have a lot of students, so the hallways are always full of people moving from one place to another. During the day, you can hear the sound of teachers talking and the occasional bell ringing to signal the end of a period. We have a decent-sized ground where the kids play cricket or football when they have their PE classes. The staff room is usually a bit cluttered with notebooks and tea cups, which is pretty typical for any school around here. We try to keep the garden areas looking okay, though the heat in Ahmedabad makes that difficult sometimes. Most of the families who send their kids here live in the nearby apartments in Bodakdev. It is a very standard school experience—exams, homework, and sports day. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do; we just show up, teach the classes, and make sure the place stays running. It is a big part of the local community and most people in the neighborhood know the school well.
