Anand Engineering

Anand Engineering is located in Santeg, right in front of the Harihar Shiv Mandir. It is a good landmark because everyone knows the temple. You can often hear the bells ringing from across the road while we are working on the machines. The workshop has that smell of metal and grease that you find in any real engineering shop. It is a tall building with a lot of open space inside to move the bigger parts around. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and you will see someone in overalls working on something. Santeg is a bit of a dusty area with all the construction and industrial work going on, so we have to sweep the floor pretty often to keep it decent. We have some heavy tools and lathes that have been with us for a long time. They are not the newest, but they do the job just fine. When the temple has a festival, the whole street gets crowded, and we sometimes just stand by the door and watch the people go by. It is a nice community feeling. We do not spend much on advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here because of the location and the fact that we have been around. It is a simple life of measuring, cutting, and fixing things. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down.
